We are looking for a Business Case Manager within the Valuation team as part of Business Control & Valuations BA Heat. The Valuation team is responsible to support decision makers with financial analysis of the bigger investment projects; new business opportunities and strategic developments. As part of Business control BA Heat, an objective view is maintained to optimise business value.
 
Your job as a Business Case Manager:
As a Business Case Manager you are responsible for the valuation of large and complex projects within BA Heat. You will be in charge of capturing the financial impact of bigger investment decisions. You do this by justifying the profitability against risk-profile by means of estimating the size and timing of the incremental cash flows. Results are checked for robustness by performing sensitivity analysis against inputs (i.e. assumptions). Together with the project team you will look for value creating investment and business opportunities.

In addition to being part of the Valuation team you will act as an active project team-member and work closely together with other disciplines like project managers and engineers. You will support project management in maximizing project value by determining the effects of particular decisions on profitability and related risk profile. You will provide analytical and quantitative support by collating, analysing and modelling data and presenting results in an appropriate format for decision-making.

Business Control and Valuation is responsible for setting functional objectives and directives to ensure quality and uniformity for project-valuations across the BA. Hence, by taking part in the Valuation Team, quality assurance will be an integral part of your work throughout the project life span.
You will participate in continuous improvement projects, such as: the development of in-house models; best practise sharing and developing quality standards. This in order to maintain high quality and uniformity in our deliverables and communication.

The role gives a lot degrees of freedom to focus on topics of which you believe are important. The international team and the BA Heat wide scope gives you an excellent view on all initiatives ongoing within the Heat business. 

Your profile as a Business Case Manager:
An academic degree within the relevant area (Economics/Finance and/or Physics/ Engineering/Mathematics);
  •  Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills;
  • Understanding of Financial Theory;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch is merited;
  • Personal profile:

    - Analytical;
    - Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing;
    - Strong interpersonal skills;
    - Handle deadlines;
    - High integrity;

The role requires a high level of independent working with at the same time maintaining a close connection to the team and projects.
