Your responsibilities as Trainee Portfolio & Transaction Analyst
Within Portfolio & Transactions we look for new market and project opportunities and how to secure revenue for the projects in subsidy-free markets. We also monitor the position of Vattenfall relative to its competitors and provide analytical and commercial support to the other departments in Market Development. Building and maintaining an active offshore pipeline is a core part of BU Offshore’s success in being a cost leader. As a trainee analyst you need to be able to source reliable market intelligence, analyse complex data sets and work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Working with a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team to identify project opportunities
- Preparing and presenting market analysis across Vattenfall’s core markets
- Keeping track of market developments, competitor intelligence and providing market and project level assessment
- Bringing a good understanding of European energy market dynamics and energy policy
- Building relationships with external stakeholders relevant to the further development of offshore wind
- Attending external events and meetings relevant to building and maintaining an offshore wind consensus in core markets
Your profile as Trainee Portfolio & Transaction Analyst

- Masters degree
- Proven interest in environmental issues with preference for the energy transformation part of environment
- Education focus preferably on economics
- Result driven with ability to make priorities to reach deadlines
- High energy and ability to cope with uncertainty
- Independent working style with ability to create structure and deliverables within a given framework
- Well above average learning ability
- High Emotional Intelligence with ability to work cross cultures (geographical; as well as organizational)

Last day to apply is March 10th 2019. Selection period starts in March/April, followed by interviews in April/May. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in May in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the Vattenfall International Trainee Programme will be September 2nd 2019.
